SALAMON WINES
A passion project by Sommelier Brad Steven, brought to life with the help of his winemaking friends in California. Salamon Wines is a collaborative effort rooted in friendship, experience, and a shared love for expressive, approachable wines.
Antonio Salamon Albert was born to a Christian family in Syria in 1898. He traveled widely, spending time in Europe and South America, and spoke several languages. Eventually, he settled in Miami, Florida, where he owned a grocery store. But even after selling the store, he wasn’t one to sit still. In his 80s, he bought land in Lake Wales, Florida, and planted a citrus orchard by hand, selling tangerines, grapefruits, and oranges at a small roadside stand. It was less about business and more about doing something he loved, working with the land and sharing its bounty. In many ways, I see my own journey reflecting his. After more than 20 years in the restaurant industry and becoming a sommelier, starting Salamon Wines was a natural step. Like my great-grandfather, I’ve built my life around something I’m passionate about, something meant to be shared. The vineyard image on my labels is the first vineyard photo I ever took in California during my first wine trip in 2011. It marks the beginning of this future path in wine, much like his orchard did for him. Different worlds, different times, but the same dedication to creating something lasting.

CHARDONNAY
The 2024 Salamon Chardonnay from Lone Oak Vineyard in Monterey showcases vibrant minerality and fresh tropical fruit flavors. Aged in a combination of one once used French oak barrel and one neutral French oak barrel, it offers subtle toast and well integrated oak tannins that enhance its natural fruit profile. This Chardonnay is rich yet balanced, with a clean finish, making it enjoyable now or over the next three years.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON
The 2023 Salamon Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold yet balanced red from Paso Robles, crafted from a small four barrel blend. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with small additions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, it was aged in neutral French oak to preserve the purity of the fruit. On the nose, it delivers expressive aromatics, while the palate reveals dark berry fruit, structure, and elegance. The finish is smooth and lingering, with enough complexity to pair beautifully with grilled meats or aged cheeses. Enjoy now or cellar for up to five years.
